Who we are

Nordic Canyon is a small operation run by Josh Murphy. We design and sell precision proofing boxes for home bakers who take fermentation seriously.

This policy covers nordiccanyon.com and every order placed through it. When we say we or us, we mean Nordic Canyon. When we say you, we mean anyone who visits the site, contacts us, or buys a product. You can reach us any time at nordiccanyon@gmail.com.

What we collect

We keep collection deliberately narrow. Information reaches us in two ways.

Information you give us

  • Your name and email address, when you contact us, request a guide, or join the list.
  • A shipping address and phone number, when you place an order.
  • Payment details, entered directly with Stripe at checkout. Card numbers never touch our servers.

Information collected automatically

  • Standard analytics data such as IP address, browser, device type, and the pages you view, through Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.
  • Anonymized error reports through Sentry, so we can find and fix bugs before they reach you.

How we use it

Every use below ties back to running the shop or answering you. Nothing else.

  • Processing, packing, and shipping the orders you place.
  • Sending order confirmations and delivery updates.
  • Answering the questions and support requests you send us.
  • Understanding which pages and guides are useful, so we can improve them.
  • Sending occasional email, and only when you have asked us to.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we never will. We share it only with the service providers that make an order or a reply possible, each bound by its own privacy terms.

Stripe
Processes payments and stores card data under PCI DSS. We receive a confirmation, not your card number.
GoHighLevel
Holds our customer records and sends order and support email on our behalf.
Shipping carriers
Receive your name and address so a proofing box can reach your door.
Google Analytics 4 and Tag Manager
Measure site traffic in aggregate, and only after you accept analytics cookies.
Sentry
Receives anonymized crash and error data so we can keep the site stable.

Your privacy rights

Wherever you live, you can email nordiccanyon@gmail.com to see what we hold, correct it, or have it deleted. Two regions get a specific mention.

California (CCPA and CPRA)

California residents may request the personal information we have collected, ask us to delete it, and opt out of its sale. Since we do not sell personal information, there is nothing to opt out of, but the right stands.

European Union and United Kingdom (GDPR)

EU and UK residents hold rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Send your request to the address above and we will respond within the timelines the regulation sets.

How long we keep it

  • Order records: seven years, to meet tax and accounting obligations.
  • Contact form submissions: deleted after three years without further contact.
  • Marketing list data: kept until you unsubscribe, then removed.

How we protect it

The site runs over HTTPS on every page. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe under its PCI DSS compliance, so card details are never stored by us. Access to customer records is limited to what running the shop requires.

Children

Nordic Canyon is built for adult home bakers. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, email nordiccanyon@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

Changes and contact

When this policy changes, we update the date at the top of the page and post the revised version here. Significant changes will be called out plainly.

Questions about your data, or about anything written above? Email nordiccanyon@gmail.com and Josh will reply.

Still have a question about your data?

We would rather answer it than leave you guessing. One email reaches the person who actually runs Nordic Canyon.
